Methodist Dallas - OBGYN Residency accepts three residents into the program each year. All applicants must submit their applications through ResidencyCAS Centralized Application Service. We participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for all of our training positions.

Application Eligibility Requirements:

  • Graduates of medical schools in the United States and Canada accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) OR
  • Graduates of colleges of osteopathic medicine in the United States accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
  • Passed USMLE Step I/COMLEX Level I – USMLE preferred
  • USMLE Step II/COMLEX Level II – minimum score 230/560
  • US Citizen or permanent resident

Application Should Include:

  • Completed ResidencyCAS Application
  • Personal Statement
  • Minimum of 2 Letters of Recommendations (LOR)
    • At least one of the LORs should be a Standard Letter of Evaluation Resources (SLOE)
    • Department Chair LOR preferred, but not required
  • USMLE Step I & II/COMLEX Level I & II Scores (USMLE preferred)
  • Medical School Transcript

Interviews

Methodist Dallas OBGYN Residency will be following the Recommended Standards for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Application and Interview Processes.

  • All interviews will be virtual via Zoom
  • Application deadline is October 1, 2024
  • Interview offers will be released on October 29, 2024
  • Interview invitations will be limited to the number of available interview slots
  • Applicants will have a minimum of 48 hours after an offer to accept/decline an interview
  • Interviews will be no earlier than November 1, 2024
  • We will notify applicants of final status (e.g. waitlist, rejection) by November 27, 2024
  • Current residents will host a Virtual Meet & Greet the evening before interviews.
  • Communication will be made through ResidencyCAS and directly from the Program Coordinator.

2024-2025 Interview Dates:

Interview days will be split into morning and afternoon sessions. You will interview with our Program Director, one full-time faculty member, and one upper-level resident.
