Methodist Health System receives Great Place To Work certification

DALLAS — Methodist Health System has been certified as a Great Place To Work for the first time. The prestigious certification, awarded by the workplace rating firm of the same name, is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working for Methodist.

Among those surveyed:

  • 91% said they felt good about the ways Methodist contributes to the community
  • 88% said they were proud to tell others they work for Methodist

“We are so proud to receive the Great Place To Work recognition,” said James C. Scoggin, Jr., Chief Executive Officer at Methodist. “I am sincerely grateful for the confidence placed in leadership and each other by so many members of the Methodist family.”

Great Place To Work is recognized as the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention, and increased innovation. The rating firm has 30 years of experience using groundbreaking research and data to help companies evaluate the experience of every employee, with exemplary workplaces becoming certified by Great Place to Work.

“We are so excited to receive this recognition because it’s about all of us supporting each other and our mission!” said Pam Stoyanoff, President and Chief Operating Officer at Methodist. “Methodist is truly an exceptional place to work and this award reflects our passion, collaboration, and caring for our patients and each other every day.”

The certification is the most definitive “employer-of-choice” recognition that companies can aspire to achieve. It is the only recognition based entirely on what employees report about their workplace experience – specifically, how consistently they experience a high-trust workplace. Great Place To Work certification is recognized worldwide by employees and employers alike and is the benchmark for identifying and recognizing outstanding employee experience. Every year, more than 10,000 companies across 60 countries apply to be certified by Great Place To Work.

"This highly coveted achievement requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience," said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place To Work. She emphasized that certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture. “By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Methodist stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees."

The award is a testament to the camaraderie on display daily at every facility in the system, said Alen Brcic, SVP and Chief Human Resources Officer at Methodist.

“At Methodist, we’ve created a culture where everyone feels welcome and empowered to contribute their unique talents,” he said. “Being recognized as a Great Place To Work reinforces our dedication to creating exceptional workplace experience for our employees.”
