Methodist ranks among top Military Friendly Employers in nation

DALLAS — Methodist Health System has once again affirmed its commitment to those who serve the armed forces by earning multiple 2025 Military Friendly® designations, including Gold-level Military Friendly Employer status.

These honors reflect the organization’s continued dedication to hiring, supporting, and uplifting veterans, military spouses, and the broader military community.

Methodist received the following 2025 Military Friendly recognitions:

- Military Friendly Employer – Gold
- Military Spouse Friendly Employer – Designated
- Military Friendly Supplier Diversity – Designated
- Military Friendly Brand – Designated
- Military Friendly Company – Designated

“I hold the military in the highest possible regard, both active-duty and veterans!” said James C. Scoggin, Jr., Chief Executive Officer at Methodist. “I am particularly proud and grateful for those who bring their discipline, skills, values, and dedication to service and mission to the Methodist family.”

These awards are part of the 22nd annual list released by Military Friendly and published in G.I. Jobs magazine. Over 2,800 organizations vied for inclusion this year, with just 338 making the final list. Methodist is proud to be among the nation's top military-friendly employers, a reflection of the strength, leadership, and commitment veterans bring to the organization.

Military Friendly designations are awarded based on public data, proprietary surveys, and input from the military community. The program is managed by VIQTORY, a service-disabled, veteran-owned business that has been connecting the military community to civilian opportunities since 2001.

"There is nothing more noble than risking your life for your country,” said President and Chief Operating Officer Pam Stoyanoff, MBA, CPA, FACHE. "Our military veteran employees matter greatly to us, and we couldn’t be prouder of them and, likewise, what this award represents."

Health and pharmaceutical services employers made up a significant share (10%) of the organizations recognized in 2025 – demonstrating the industry’s critical role in veteran employment. Texas remains one of the most active states for veteran hiring, with the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex named one of the top three metro regions for attracting and supporting military talent.
