Methodist Health System is proud to announce that Methodist Dallas, Methodist Richardson, and Methodist Midlothian Medical Centers have each earned “A” safety grades for fall 2024 from The Leapfrog Group, the highest rating possible from the independent hospital watchdog.
Methodist Dallas is one of only six hospital in all of the Texas to maintain an “A” grade every year since 2015.
“We are proud of each ‘A’ we earned this fall. There is nothing more important to Methodist than our dedication to patient safety,” says Pam Stoyanoff, MBA, CPA, FACHE, President and Chief Operating Officer, Methodist Health System. “But what Methodist Dallas has accomplished for nine years running deserves special recognition. The commitment to keeping patients safe at our flagship hospital sets the tone for our entire system.”
The Hospital Safety Grade is the gold standard rating for patient safety, compiled under the guidance of the nation’s leading patient safety experts and administered by The Leapfrog Group, a national, independent nonprofit committed to driving quality, safety, and transparency in the U.S. health system.
Developed under the guidance of an expert panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses over 30 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to approximately 3,000 U.S. hospitals twice per year. It is peer reviewed, fully transparent, and free to the public.
