Methodist ranked in nation's top 10 for inclusion and fairness

DALLAS — Methodist Health System has been named among the top 10 hospitals and health systems in the country for excellence in workplace fairness and inclusion. This recognition from Fair 360, formerly known as DiversityInc, ranks the organization alongside such well-known health systems as Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic.

Fair360 serves as the external validator for large employers that model fairness in their talent strategies, supplier diversity practices, and philanthropic engagement. It offers extensive, data-driven analyses at some of the biggest companies nationwide.

"When you walk the halls of our hospitals, there is a spirit that is second to none," said James C. Scoggin, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Methodist. “That culture of compassionate, quality healthcare puts Methodist in lofty company."

The company's survey of the Top Hospitals and Health Systems considered U.S. employers with at least 750 employees and evaluated them within the context of the healthcare industry based on verified policies, practices, and procedures.

“We are delivering the highest level of care we can, and we’re doing it with a heart and soul that Fair360 is acknowledging," said Pam Stoyanoff, MBA, CPA, FACHE, President and Chief Operating Officer of Methodist. "But none of this is possible without every single employee doing their part."

This is just the latest in a string of accolades for Methodist. Not only was it ranked by Becker's Hospital Review as one of the top 150 places to work in healthcare in 2024 — a distinction it has won for 12 consecutive years — the organization was also presented with the first-ever HX24 Health System of the Year award by Press Ganey, an industry leader that works with more than 41,000 facilities nationwide to enhance patient care and caregiver resilience.
