DALLAS (March 2023) — Becker's Hospital Review ranked Methodist Health System as one of the top 150 places to work in healthcare for 2023. This is the 11th year that the health system has received this honor.
Methodist earned commendation for its professional development opportunities, wellness offerings, biannual engagement survey, year-end feedback sessions, and the "Your Voice Matters" communications campaign.
“We talk a lot about the Methodist culture, but Becker’s once again recognizes it’s a lot more than talk," says Cheryl Flynn, SPHR, SVP and Chief Human Resources Officer at Methodist. "Earning this honor once would make me proud, but the fact this team has done it for 11 years is a testament to this wonderful organization.”
Working individuals are reevaluating their needs and desires in the workplace, with voluntary turnover increasing in recent years. Organizations that grow alongside their employees, value their contributions, provide flexibility, and offer generous benefits have higher employee retention and satisfaction rates.
The hospitals, health systems and companies included on Becker’s list are exceptional employers who are committed to advocating for diversity in the workplace, promoting work-life balance, and boosting employee engagement.
The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team accepted nominations for this list. The team also assessed rankings and awards from reputable organizations such as Forbes.
Previously, Forbes listed Methodist as one of America’s Best Employers for Diversity in 2022, and the Dallas Business Journal has named Methodist as one of the Best Places to Work for 15 consecutive years.
Becker’s list is intended to shine a spotlight on hospitals, health systems and healthcare companies that have a positive impact on the lives of their employees and communities. The full list featuring individual profiles of all hospitals, health systems and companies can be read here.
