Shoulder

The shoulder is one of the most complex joints in the body. It has the greatest range of motion of any other joint, which makes it even more susceptible to injury.

Our team has the expertise to help restore your natural movement and range of motion in the shoulder. We can help with shoulder stiffness, acute and chronic shoulder pain, and other various symptoms, including muscle injuries, arthritis, and general wear and tear to the cartilage.

Surgical Treatments

When conservative treatments like physical therapy and medication have failed to work, it’s time to start considering surgery. Medical advancements have allowed many shoulder operations to be performed through minimally invasive methods.

  • Arthroscopy – Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used for both diagnosis and treatment. It can help us find the cause of your shoulder pain and treat some shoulder conditions using a small incision and a scope.
  • Reverse Total Shoulder – If you have both arthritis in your shoulder and a rotator cuff tear, your surgeon may perform reverse total shoulder replacement. This advanced surgery was specifically created to provide an option when shoulder replacement is needed but the rotator cuff is torn.
  • Rotator Cuff Repair – A tear in the tendons that connect the shoulder bones to muscle limits your range of motion and cause weakness in the arm. We offer surgical options to repair this tear and regain normal movement in the shoulder.
  • Total Shoulder Replacement – While shoulder replacement is not as common as hip or knee replacement, it works in the same way as other joint replacement surgeries. During the procedure, part of your shoulder joint is removed and replaced with artificial pieces.
