Treatment Options
Most orthopedic trauma cases need surgical care. Our orthopedic trauma
surgeons provide surgical expertise for a range of injuries, infections,
and complex orthopedic needs. They work along with other specialists to
guide your care and create a personalized treatment plan.
-
Bone Grafting – When a broken bone can’t heal on its own, you may need bone
grafting surgery to repair the fracture. During this procedure, your surgeon
takes bone tissue from one part of your body or donated bone and places
it in the injured area to help your body grow new, healthy bone.
-
Closed and Open Bone Reduction – When you have a fracture, we offer both closed and open repair.
Closed reduction sets the bone back into place without an incision, while
open bone reduction resets and stabilizes the bone using surgery.
-
Deformity Corrections – When bones are bent or twisted in a way they shouldn’t be,
deformity correction surgery is an option to restore the normal shape
and function.
-
Limb Lengthening – There are several conditions that might cause a difference in
the length of the limbs. Limb lengthening surgery helps gradually correct
this difference by cutting the bone and inserting a lengthening device.
-
Surgery of the Pelvis and Acetabulum – Fractures in the pelvis and acetabulum — the socket part
of your hip joint — often need surgical care. Our surgeons are experienced
in surgical procedures to repair and stabilize these complex fractures.
