Non-Surgical Care
Early treatments for elbow or hand pain should be conservative. Your doctor
will likely recommend noninvasive treatments like medical, stretches,
and physical therapy.
- Braces or Splints
- Injections
- Medications
- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Pulsed Ultrasound
Surgical Treatments
It is only when the less invasive treatments prove ineffective that surgery
is recommended. Our experienced team will guide you through every step
of the preparation, surgical, and recovery process.
-
Arthroscopy – Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used for
both diagnosis and treatment purposes. It can help us find the cause of
pain and perform minimally invasive repairs without putting too much strain
on the body.
-
Biceps Tendon Repair - The tendons are the strong tissues that connect bone to muscle. Excessive
strain on the elbow can cause the bicep tendon to tear. In this case,
we offer surgical repair to restore the function of your arm.
-
Carpal Tunnel Release Surgery – We offer both traditional and endoscopic surgery for carpal tunnel
syndrome. This condition happens when the median nerve in your wrist is
compressed. During your surgery, the surgeon will make your carpal tunnel
larger and release the pressure on your nerve.
-
Cubital Tunnel Release Surgery - The cubital tunnel is a narrow passage inside the elbow, and if damaged,
it will put pressure on the ulnar nerve and cause pain. Our surgeons have
experience in cubital tunnel release surgery to release this pressure
and relieve pain.
-
Lateral Epicondyle Release Surgery – Commonly known as tennis elbow, excessive wear and tear on the
elbow joint will result in inflammation and tears in the tendons. If your
tennis elbow doesn’t get better after non-surgical care, lateral
epicondyle release surgery is an option. We perform both traditional and
arthroscopic surgeries.
-
Surgical Removal of Cysts – Hand cysts are typically harmless, and they may go away on their
own or with a minor procedure to drain fluid from the cyst. However, if
your cyst is causing pain or symptoms that limit your hand movement, we
offer surgery to completely remove it.
-
Total Elbow Replacement - When non-surgical treatments fail to treat your elbow pain, elbow replacement
may be an option. Also known as total elbow arthroplasty, this procedure
is most commonly used to treat elbow pain caused by arthritis. It works
by replacing part of the elbow joint with artificial pieces.
