Methodist Richardson Medical Center offers a comprehensive orthopedic care program to help you get back on your feet, using the latest minimally invasive techniques, orthopedic surgeons restore mobility to the joints and improve the patient’s quality of life. Patients typically experience less pain and a shorter recovery time.
The Joint Academy at Methodist Richardson offers "students" who are scheduled for a hip or knee replacement surgery, a free educational program to prepare both mentally and physically for surgery. The program is designed to help with recovery, for the best possible outcomes and a faster return to normal daily activity.
Patients will receive an easy-to navigate, online program education and videos in advance of surgery to prepare for and better understand their procedure. The program can be completed at your own pace, at home, with a family or friend, and will help to understand what will happen before, during, and after surgery.
