Methodist Richardson Medical Center Foundation works with all entities who want to support close-to-home, advanced care and services for the communities in Collin and Dallas Counties.
Currently our Behavior Health program provides both inpatient and outpatient adult psychiatric services, adult chemical dependency services, and a multidisciplinary behavioral health and addiction recovery team. Our team is working to expand outpatient services to offer the most ideal care.
A donation of $150 helps provide an hour of individual outpatient counseling and expanded group session. Individual and group counseling sessions allow patients to work through issues and come up with healthy solutions to their crisis.
A donation of $60 helps provide three sets of clothing for a patient in need upon discharge. Sets include shirts, pants, shoes, and undergarments.
A donation of $40 provides transportation home for a patient upon discharge. Since Methodist Richardson Medical Center serves patients from many cities, beyond the reaches of our public transportation. It can be difficult for patients to get safely home after being discharged.
By giving to this fund, you will help provide full wrap-around cancer care for our patients. Currently, the Methodist Richardson Medical Center Foundation funds Artist-in-Residence and Massage Therapy, and cancer screenings for uninsured patients.
A donation of $300 provides a month of Artist-in Residence staff and supplies. This program began in the Cancer Center in June 2012, and aims to help patients, their families, and caregivers discover their own creative resources as antidotes to the fear, isolation, and boredom that often accompany a cancer diagnosis.
A donation of $150 provides 30 minute massages for five patients currently under treatment. Benefits of massage include releasing muscle tension, promoting relaxation, helping to alleviate pain, and promoting rest and sleep.
One of the most valuable ways to give to Methodist Richardson Medical Center Foundation is to donate to the “area of greatest need.” This allows the Foundation and the hospital to work together to identify areas of need that are not necessarily being addressed with other campaign efforts. These needs might include acute care for uninsured and underinsured, innovative equipment, expansion of services to a particular segment of the population, or investment in technology that is not otherwise being funded.
Since it was established in 1977, the Foundation has raised more than $26 million to assist in funding cutting-edge medical equipment, programs and training that support the Medical Center and Cancer Center. The following are some of our funding highlights.
