The Methodist Mansfield Medical Center Auxiliary was formed in 2006 when Methodist Mansfield Medical Center opened. This Auxiliary’s goal is to support the hospital staff, patients, and communities that the hospital serves through fundraising efforts and volunteerism. Since its inception, the Methodist Mansfield Auxiliary has volunteered more than 160,000 hours of service and raised over $350,000 for programs, services, and capital campaigns.
In 2015, the Methodist Mansfield Auxiliary started a Junior Scholarship program for high school seniors who volunteer 100 hours or more at the hospital. This scholarship was made possible through the generous donation of Ron Hopton-Jones in memory of his wife, Linda. Linda Hopton-Jones was a beloved past president of the Methodist Mansfield Auxiliary.
