Radiation Therapy for Breast Cancer
Traditional whole breast radiation therapy, a process that precisely sends high levels of radiation directly to the cancer cells or the operative bed. This can be done after surgery (as in breast cancer), which can be done prior to surgery to shrink the tumor, in combination with chemotherapy, or as a palliative treatment to relieves symptoms, such as pain.
