Members of the Mansfield community have joined together to raise $250,000 to help build a comprehensive women's imaging and diagnostic services center at Methodist Mansfield. Each volunteer on this Community Committee offers a personal perspective for why they serve and support the new Breast Center. As you read their reasons for giving, we invite you to explore our naming opportunities and make a gift as well.

"Breast cancer changed the lives of two grandmothers in my family.
One lost her battle a few years ago while in her early 90’s. The
other recently turned 88 and is still winning. I am serving to honor these
two women and to keep women and families in our community free from breast
cancer.”
-- Richard Schimming, campaign chair, Community Committee for The Breast
Center at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center
"These women are the center of my world, and I want to do my part to keep them safe. I am proud to be part of the community effort to make the new Mansfield Methodist Breast Center a success!" -- Brent Aldridge
Breast cancer removes mothers, wives and daughters from our community. Anything we can do to catch this ‘killer’ early can increase survival rates. The new Methodist Breast Center will be able to expedite the process, give direction and comfort to the patient and be a positive force to women's health in our community. -- Marnee Camp
"My mom is a 20-year, four-time, stage 4 breast cancer survivor. We know from experience that early detection saves lives. I am so excited to know that women in Mansfield will have access to a quick and easy mammogram with speedy results in a place just for women.” -- Renee Chappell
“As a lifelong resident of Mansfield, I am so excited that the women in Mansfield will have a breast center with access to mammograms and, in most cases, receive same day results. Should she need it, there is a team in place to guide and direct her in her next steps, so that she doesn’t feel lost in this journey. I ask you to join me in supporting this great cause. “ -- Keziah Farrar
"As a registered nurse within this amazing community working in woman’s health, I am honored to be on a committee to bring about this revolutionary Breast Center at Methodist Mansfield. Women are the heart and soul of this community and within their own families! They deserve the very best care and treatment when being faced with such an uncertain diagnosis.” -- Tara Harris
“As an OBGYN, as a woman, and as a mother with a daughter, women's health care is my passion. In the words of Eleanor Roosevelt, "You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face". #FightLikeAGirl -- Heather Havener, MD
"The passion for women's health expressed by Dr. Magda Rizer and staff is inspiring. This center will be a wonderful addition to Methodist Mansfield and continue to raise the standard for care in our community."-- Julie Short
"My family believes that giving financially within your community is important because it shows you care enough to support the local medical community." -- Todd Simmons
