About Lori M. Kautzman, MD
Lori Kautzman, M.D., is a Hepatobiliary and Abdominal Transplant Surgeon who performs adult and pediatric liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant procedures, and hepatobiliary – pancreatic surgery. She is extensively trained in adult and pediatric intestinal and multivisceral transplantation.
Dr. Kautzman earned a B.A. in Biology from Kansas State University and her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed his residency training in general surgery at the Savannah Mercer Medical Center, and later trained in liver and multi-organ transplantation at the University of Nebraska.
Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Kautzman’s clinical interests include liver transplantation, major liver resection, laparoscopic liver surgery, radiofrequency ablation of liver tumors, benign hepatic tumors, hepatic abscess, portal hypertension, major pancreatic resections, acute and chronic pancreatitis, ampullary problems, annular pancreas, cystic disease of the pancreas, acute and chronic bile duct injuries, intrahepatic and extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, gallbladder cancer, choledochal cysts, bile duct strictures, liver transplantation, complex GI disease, intestinal failure / short gut syndrome, choledochal cysts, split-liver transplantation, and resection of biliary cystadenomas.
In addition to her clinical pursuits, Dr. Kautzman also enjoys traveling, competing in triathlons, and spending time with her family.
