About Kelly E. Farris, MD
Kelly E. Farris, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor and fluent in Spanish. He is located at Methodist Family Health Center – Murphy and affiliated with Methodist Richardson Medical Center and Methodist Dallas Medical Center. He has practiced medicine since 1999 and joined Methodist Health System in 2016.
Dr. Farris is a U.S. Navy veteran. After leaving the service in 1990, he felt called to practice medicine. He cares for patients ranging in age from newborns to senior citizens, focusing on the whole patient — faith, spirituality, and physical, and mental health.
His faith is important to him and was instrumental in his choosing to go into medicine. His parents were missionaries, and he grew up in Mexico. He says the experience helped him learn the impact faith has on people’s lives.
He says becoming a doctor is the best decision he ever made and that he loves going to work every day.
When he is not treating patients, Dr. Farris enjoys cooking, running, camping, and hiking.
