About Anna Slayton, MSN,APRN,FNC-BC,HC
DFW Native, Anna M. Slayton, FNP-BC, began her career with Methodist Health System in 2010, as a young mother. She started as a Medical Assistant for an OB/GYN, then advanced her career by earning her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Navarro College, and later pursing both her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing through Walden University. In addition to being certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, Mrs. Slayton is also a Board Certified Holistic Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, focusing on holistic health and wellness for all her patients. After serving as a crisis response nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic, she is now excited to be practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Methodist Urgent Care. From newborn to elderly, acute to chronic illnesses, she can provide care for all ages and stages of families in need.
Outside of work, Mrs. Slayton and her family are members of the First United Methodist Church, assist with mission work opportunities, and enjoy hiking, reading, and photography. Volunteer work involves being a leading advocate for drowning prevention in honor of her son Gavin Lee Robbins, who drown in a residential swimming pool in 2017, and also assists at crisis pregnancy centers. While not working in health care, she and her family enjoy spending time at their Ranch in Central Texas, and assisting with their family business in Midlothian, Texas.
