Methodist Health System has several programs to help nursing students and current RNs enrich their nursing education and experience. We are very accommodating to nurses who wish to return to school in order to further their training and learn new skills.
Offered at four of our campuses including Methodist Dallas, Methodist Charlton, Methodist Mansfield, and Methodist Richardson Medical Centers, the Methodist externship program began in 2002. Working closely with local and regional nursing schools, our nursing extern program allows senior-level nursing students to gain hands-on experience in a real hospital setting. Offered three times per year in February, July, and October, our nursing residency programs include medical/surgical, critical care, emergency, operating room, as well as labor and delivery, mother/baby, and neonatal intensive care areas.
